This is good news for me, as I live fairly close to a Magnolia theater - and I would assume this should play there. As with Bruce Campbell vs. Frankenstein, I'm a little hestistant to get too excited about this due to the lackluster offering that was Diary of the Dead. Of course, I am always willing to give Mr. Romero the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps the old man still has something up his sleeve to surprise us with. Judging from the trailers, I kind of doubt it, but you never know.

So, what is this one about, exactly? I mean, what's the twist here?
From the IMDb page: "On an island off the coast of North America, local residents simultaneously fight a zombie epidemic while hoping for a cure to return their un-dead relatives back to their human state."
I think it is a direct sequel to Diary, but I may be wrong on that.
yikes. why a cure? that's crazy.
if your dead (under normal circumstances) there's no cure and if you're a zombie would you want to be cured?
example: "my Aunt was a zombie. she bit my Uncle Ted and ate my cousin's lower intestines. then she got cured and is feeling much better."
Diary Of The Dead was definitely George Romero's biggest cinema folly to date. I'm a huge fan of his, but that one just did nothing for me.
I am looking forward to Survival and hoping he's getting back on track like he did with the excellent LAND OF THE DEAD.
Bruce campbell vs franky eh? l;ol wow. I cant wait for survival of the dead. But I think romero really has lost his touch lately...
