WTF? Rambo?

From
ComingSoon.Net
:

"John Rambo could track anyone - or anything - on earth. Now the military desperately needs him for a mission that his ultrasensitive instincts tell him he should refuse. A beast is loose somewhere north of the Artic Circle. It has already decimated a secret research facility and annihilated a squad of elite military guards. And the raging creature is headed south toward civilization, ready to wreak bloody devastation.

It's a job that Rambo and his 22-year-old hunting partner, Beau Brady, can't turn down, but they and a team of highly-skilled special forces kill team discover that the prey is a terror beyond their wildest imagination - a half-human abomination created by a renegade agency through a series of outlawed genetic experiments. It has man's cunning, a predator's savageness, and a prehistoric power that has transcended the ages. And even if Rambo and Beau survive its unrelenting hunger for human blood, they'll still have to contront the grim reality that it may have grown immortal."

So, not only are they trying to make the new Rambo PG-13, but also Sci-Fi? Really? I mean, who thinks that's a good idea? You know what, who really gives a shit?

this has to be a put on right? c'mon?

seriously though the last Rambo movie was probably my second favorite of the bunch. it was brutal and stupid and straight up awesome because it was so brutal and stupid. now they're going to turn around and do this shit? i really don't want to believe this is real.

I've seen this everywhere online recently... Most so far seem to think this is a dumb idea and I'm willing to bet the actual film-makers also realize that before it ever gets too far... although this IS Hollywood we're talking about. Keep Rambo "real", save the goofy fantasy/sci-fi angle for the X-FILES & Indiana Jones. I'm with wiec? - the last RAMBO was a splattery, hyper-violent testosterone ride, why fucking ruin the goodwill that movie created amongst action fans? RAMBO stretches believability as it is, but if they were gonna introduce more outright 'fantasy' elements to this character, they should have done it much earlier. I call bullshit on this.

Joke...has to be. But I would not put it past the Hollywood brass to green light this idea and thinking it is the greatest one in the world.

What's next? Rambo in Space?!

Haha. Yeah, I'm not entirely sure it isn't a joke, but if not who knows what this would be like? I don't like the idea of it, but it may turn out to be campy gold!
